Meghani's Poems
Mahatma Gandhi dubbed Meghani "Rashtriya Shaayar" for the nationalistic spirit that
his poetry helped kindle. People sing his songs and the folk songs that he brought to
light even today. His poetry was for the people and of the people, never aimed at
critical acclaim.
